MICHAIL ANTONIO continued his rich vein of goalscoring form with a sensational 30-yard rocket for Jamaica.

But team-mate Lamar Walker stole the show by hilariously fluffing the rebound.

The West Ham star made it two goals in three caps since deciding to play at international level for the Reggae Boyz with a sensational strike.

Fans were in stitched when team-mate Walker nearly missed the ball when trying to swing home the rebound as the ball bounced out of the net.

One fan wrote on Twitter: “I think that guy should be substituted immediately, without watching the game I can easily tell he was the flop.”

While another joked: “Not jersey 21 missing the ball unmarked and pretend like nothing happened.”

A third added: “Nice of 21 to embarrass himself after his team scored a great goal lmao.”

Antonio’s latest strike will go down as one of the very best of his career, just a couple of days after another incredible goal – his solo effort against El Salvador.

In that game the former right-back picked up the ball close to the half way line before a lung-busting run was capped with a delightful dinked finish.

If that goal was all finesse then this one was all power.

Antonio picked the ball up inside the American half and drove forward before chopping inside RB Leipzig midfielder Tyler Adams.

He then unleashed a thunderbolt from 30 yards that flew past Man City keeper Zack Steffen and into the top corner.

The goal allowed Jamaica to earn a point after George Weah’s son Timo had opened the scoring after just 11 minutes.

One fan joked: “He went from a right-back to doing this.”

Another added: “I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that on current form, Michail Antonio is in the Top 5 best strikers in the world.”

Loud reggae played on speakers during warm-ups in front of a crowd of 1,100 at 35,000-seat Independence Park, known as The Office, where a statue of Bob Marley sits outside.

Because of the pandemic, this was Jamaica’s first home game with fans since October 2019.

The USA named their second-youngest ever line-up for a World Cup qualifier – their youngest being just last month – and now have 15 points after eight of their 16 qualifying matches.
